Plans are under way for the 2011 Specialty and hosting the 2012 Silken Windhound National Specialty ~ SilkenFest 2012 to be held in the northeast.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!
Did you know that fees collected for ECSW Memberships and sponsored events are used for promoting education and procurement of equipment for Club activities? As most of you know, event fees barely cover event expenses. That is one reason why membership fees are so important, especially to a new club like ours.
Even more important than fees are the members! Without members and volunteers, events could not be successfully accomplished. YOU are important and needed to ensure the success of ECSW.
What, you may ask, can I do? I have no time to volunteer. I have no skills. I would like to help, but I don’t have any idea of any benefit I could be. And, I don’t live close to any events.
Think about it for a minute. You read your e-mail. You talk on the phone. You take care of your family and pets. You have skills!
In the very near future, the ECSW BoD will be establishing committees to help with the club business. We will be asking for volunteers to provide various services. These services may include such things as establishing a Performance Committee, Specialty Committee and possibly a Rescue Committee to work in tandem with ISWS Rescue.
The ECSW needs YOU. We would love for you to join us!
